Mauritius jumped 10 spots to 27th following an impressive 3rd place finish in their qualifying group of the African Nations Cup. The other teams in the group were South Africa, Angola and Gabon, all ranked in the Top 15.

Togo dropped 7 places to 19th after failing to win a single match all year.
  
Other Notables:
Swaziland were unbeaten all year and jumped 9 spots to 29th after reaching the semifinals of the COSAFA Cup.
